PHOTOREJUVENATION

Photorejuvenation, also known as Intense Pulsed Light or IPL, is a treatment that will give aged skin, smoothness and brightness.

It can be applied to the face and other parts of the body such as the hands, neck, chest, forearms and lower legs as these are constantly exposed to the sun, therefore aging is visibly noticeable.

In addition to Photorejuvenation and according to our patients actinic damage (solar) we propose different treatment programs that combine different light sources and others such as microdermabrasion, mesotherapy, botulinum toxin, photodynamic therapy, etc.

Treatment

Photorejuvenation provides progressive and long-term results without side effects: reduces red and brown spots and improves skin radiance without damaging it.

It works by applying a pulse of light passing through the patient's skin, which is then converted, into heat to be absorbed by melanin, hemoglobin and fibroblasts. This heat consumes the excess melanin and hemoglobin, while stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen.

Photorejuvenation’s complete treatment is carried out over 5 to 6 sessions, spaced out in 6 weeks (sessions are 20 to 30 minutes) after which the patient can return to normal activity immediately.

The number of sessions vary depending on skin type and characteristics of the imperfections presented for each patient. However, patients can begin noticing improvements between 7 to 10 days after each session. And this improvement increases gradually, because the formation of new collagen has been activated.

After treatment, your skin will be more luminous and firm. To see lasting results, we recommend a topical treatment (dermocosmétic), which will reduce the need for maintenance sessions.
