PEELINGS AND BIOMASKS
Not to be confused with mechanical peelings, which can also be done in Beautyderm. This method is called microdermabrasion. After each peeling, we often apply a biomask: soothing, moisturizing masks that provide more elasticity and radiance to the skin.
Treatment
The treatment works by applying one to four layers of a peeling agent such as salicylic acid, glycolic acid or pyruvic acid on the patient’s skin. After performing the peeling, a biomask can be applied for soothing and treating. Vitamin C, salicylic acid, aloe vera, kojic acid can also be used. A few days later the old skin peels off and you get a smooth and glowing skin with a youthful appearance without blemishes or scars.
To remove the outer layers of the skin, a natural deep peeling promotes regeneration and enhances collagen generation. Thus, you get smooth skin, improve its texture and elasticity, moderate fine wrinkles, smooth out acne scars and eliminate surface stains caused by the sun.
To achieve the fast, safe and lasting results, treatment is adjusted to the individual characteristics of each patient: the problem to be treated, skin type or depth of the peel that can be applied, among others.
The full treatment with peels is performed over several sessions of 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the extent of the treated area and depth of treatment.
After superficial peeling sessions, the patient can return to normal activity immediately. The medium and deep peels produce some redness, which may require for the patient to take a couple of days off.
