Microdermabrasion, also known as facial peeling, is a fast, comfortable and painless treatment that renews the superficial layers of the skin and helps to correct or reduce the following problems:

    • Photoaging and spots caused by the sun (actinic).
    • Lines, fine and medium wrinkles.
    • Dehydrated skin, oily, seborrheic or asphyxiated.
    • Open pores.
    • Acne and acne scars.

It is often used as a preliminary or complementary treatment to other interventions, such as facial mesotherapy, peels and biomasks treatments because it optimizes the absorption of its active ingredients.

    Treatment

Microdermabrasion provides lasting solutions to superficial skin problems and carries no side effects: improves skin quality without any negative side effects.

Works by exfoliating the skin with corundum crystals to get rid of dead cells without causing any pain. Crystals are removed via suction along with all of the dead cells.

Removing dead cells induces a natural deep regeneration, but not aggressively. It also increases generation of collagen. You get smooth skin, improve its texture and elasticity, moderate fine wrinkles, smooth out acne scars and eliminate surface stains caused by the sun.

To achieve the fast, safe and lasting results, treatment is adjusted to the individual characteristics of each patient: the problem to be treated, skin type or depth of the peel that can be applied, among others.

The results are immediateand obvious from the first session, but to get the best results 3 sessions are necessary. These sessions are spaced from each other by four weeks. With each session the results are more visible and lasting.

Microdermabrasion sessions typically last 30 minutes. Then soothing cream or refreshing biomásks are applied. The feeling of the skin after treatment is comfortable and pleasant, and the patient can return to normal activity uponcompletion of treatment.

Furthermore, after exfoliation, any other treatment penetrates the skin more easily and at greater depths, which is more effective. Therefore, we usually use microdermabrasion as pretreatment or in combination with other treatments such as facial mesotherapy, peels and biomásks.
