INDIVIDUALIZED TOPICAL TREATMENTS

Dermocosmetic Treatments are very important for skin care as a prevention and maintenance treatment.

We make topical formulas that provide more profound and lasting results than commercial cosmetics for problems such as acne, rosacea skin rejuvenation and dermatology diseases.

In the area of rejuvenation, in particular, they are very effective for fine wrinkles and expression lines, periorbital wrinkles, age spots, actinic damage, prevention of precancerous lesions, seborrhea, large pores, sagging, improved brightness and overall texture of the skin.

Treatment

The first step, before formulating a treatment is knowing the patient's history and performing a good clinical observation of the skin. The dermocosmetic observation includes a quantitative study to evaluate the parameters that are beyond visual inspection.

Once diagnosis is obtained, a personalized treatment is formulated from active substances known to be effective with high quality cosmetic excipients such as W / S (water-silicone), cream gels for the different types of skin.

Some active ingredients frequently used in treating acne are:

  • Topical retinoids (acid 13 cisretinoico).
  • Adapalene
  • Benzoyl peroxide
  • Antibiotics (erythromycin, clindamycin).
  • Salicylic Acid.
  • Azelaic Acid, Sulfa.
  • Sulfur
  • Dapsone

Combining personalized formulas with other treatments such as phototherapy, microdermabrasion or peelings cures most cases of acne. However, maintenance therapy is essential to prevent relapses.

In the case of rosacea, custom formulations are critical. Most patients usually ignore the initial symptoms of redness and consult a professional in advanced stages. Therefore, they usually present intolerance to most topical products (API and excipients).

Thanks to the ability to offer our patients custom formulas, removing the molecules that the patient cannot tolerate can treat rosacea. Furthermore, the use of these formulas is usually combined with oral treatments and other treatments such as vascular laser.

For skin rejuvenation treatments we use various active principles such as:

  • Acid 13 Cis retinoico.
  • retinaldehído.
  • Alpha hydroxy Acids (glicoico acid).
  • Beta hydroxy Acids (salicylic acid).
  • Antioxidants and Radical Scavengers (vitamin C or coenzyme Q10).
  • Nicotinamide.
  • Organic Biopolymers (hyaluronic acid).
  • Biological Peptides.
  • Estrogens (isoflavones from soy or progesterone).

However, the best active substance is Retinoic Acid, which achieves significant improvements in fine wrinkles, spots, brightness, thickness and overall appearance of the skin as well as prevention of precancerous lesions (actinic keratoses). The different concentrations allows to obtain good results with minimal irritation.

Retinoic Acid is generally applied as an “attack” treatment, followed by maintenance. During the first two months it acts as a restorer of the epidermis. Beyond the third month it produces a dermal action, which stimulates the generation of collagen and decreases angiogenesis.
