VASCULAR LASER

The vascular laser, also known as Thermocoagulation or Photoesclerosis, is the most comfortable, fast effective and safe way to remove vascular lesions (red spots) in any area of the body or face. Vascular or red lesions include varicose veins, telangiectasias, spider veins and rosacea, port wine stains, hemangiomas and angiomas, poikiloderma of civatte and ruby points.

    Treatment

The vascular laser can eliminate lesions quickly, comfortably and it is safe. There is no need to interrupt social or work life. It corrects the vessels that caused the injury without damaging the surrounding tissues.

It involves applying a laser or a light pulse that passes through the skin and converts into heat to be absorbed by hemoglobin on the injured vessels. Heat clogs vessels and facilitates disposal.

This type of treatment, known as selective photothermolysis, progressively reduces the size of the lesions and decreases pain from the first session, without affecting the rest of the skin.

Vascular Laser Treatment is performed over several sessions of 45 minutes, after which the patient can return to normal activity immediately.

In some cases, however, a bandage may be applied or taking time off may be necessary. Also, if the treatment has been performed on the face, we will apply a “biomask” (a special face mask) that will increase the healing process along with creams.

The number of sessions for each patient varies depending on the amount and size of the affected vessels, as well as the degree of vascular reactivity. Sessions are usually spaced out between 1 and 2 months, but the results are usually seen within the first 4 weeks. After 10 days the size of the lesion begins to reduce in size gradually and steadily.
