REMOVAL OF SPOTS AND MARKS ON THE SKIN

The laser or intense pulsed light is the most convenient and effective way to remove the various types of brown spots that appear on the skin as a result of the accumulation of melanin in the epidermis.

For maximum effectiveness, this laser treatment can be combined with peelings, microdermabrasion, the use of topical skin lightening creams (using our own formulation) or photodynamic therapy.

In Beautyderm we can also help remove red spots (vascular lesions), which we treat with vascular laser.

    Treatment

The laser or intense pulsed light can remove accumulations of melanin in the epidermis, causing brown spots.

In fact, this type of treatment is so effective that it can remove even stubborn spots, provided they have not damaged the skin.

It consists of applying a pulse of light passing through the patient’s skin. It unravels the accumulated melanin in a spot, so that the body can eliminate it progressively. In fact, the next day it seems that the spots darken, but they gradually disappear in 4-5 days.

The complete spot removal treatment is carried out over three to four sessions that last less than 1 hour, after which the patient can return to normal activity.

The number of sessions for each patient varies depending on the age, location, depth and type of spots. However, results can be seen after the first session: spots begin losing color and definition.

Sessions are usually spaced out in 6 weeks to give the skin time to recover between sessions. Treatment is not recommended during periods of excessive sun exposure (summer time).

After treatment is completed, we recommend a topical treatment (dermocosmetic) to see even more lasting results, which will reduce the need for maintenance sessions.
